Michael Kenneth Mann (born February 5, 1943), An American film director, screenwriter, and producer.
An English major student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he was an active member of the Pi Lambda Phi fraternity, slowly found himself driven to history, philosophy and architecture. It was at this time that he first saw Stanley Kubrick’s Dr. Strangelove and fell in love with movies, and as we say, from that point on, it’s all history.
Along his career, he has received nominations from numerous awards in the realm of cinematic entertainment.
His eye on the industry always had a unique view, here is one of his quotes:
“I think it’s easy for directors to stay fresh more than actors, especially once an actor becomes a star. It’s hard for Russell Crowe to walk down a street or take a subway. I can fly coach.”
